220만 충남도민 여러분 2026년 새해 복 많이 받으십시오. 충청남도의회 의장 홍성현입니다. 역동과 열정을 상징하는 ‘붉은 말’의 해를 맞아, 도민 여러분의 가정에 만복이 깃들고, 바라시는 모든 일이 결실을 맺는 뜻깊은 한 해가 되기를 기원합니다.
현재 대한민국은 저출산과 고령화라는 구조적 위기에 직면해 있습니다. 충청남도는 이러한 위기 속에서 새로운 성장 동력을 확보하기 위해 ‘대전·충남 행정 통합’을 추진하고 있습니다. 이는 대전과 충남이 산업·경제 분야에서 상호 보완하여 시너지를 극대화하고, 양질의 일자리 창출과 자치권 확대를 바탕으로 명실상부한 ‘대한민국의 신경제 수도’로 도약하겠다는 강력한 의지입니다.
충청남도의회는 ‘대전·충남 특별시’ 출범이 지방자치사의 새로운 전환점이 될 수 있도록 모든 의정 역량을 집중하겠습니다. 무엇보다 통합의 과정에서 도내 15개 시군 중 어느 한 곳도 소외되지 않고 고루 성장하는 ‘균형 잡힌 충남’을 만드는 데 온 힘을 다하겠습니다. 또한, 도민 한 분 한 분의 삶이 실질적으로 나아지는 방향으로 통합이 이루어지도록, 도민의 뜻을 세심하게 살피고 힘을 보태겠습니다.
아울러, 급변하는 기술 혁신에도 선제적으로 대응하겠습니다. 인공지능과 자율주행은 이미 우리의 일상에서 활용되고 있으며, 양자컴퓨터, UAM(도심항공교통), SMR(소형 모듈식 원자로) 등은 미래 산업의 주도권을 확보하기 위한 핵심 분야입니다.
