[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군이 축구 동계전지훈련장으로 입지를 굳히고 있다.
군은 12월부터 1월까지 합천군민체육공원 인조구장 일원에서 축구 동계전지훈련을 통해 겨울철 관광 비수기 지역경제 활성화를 견인하고 있다고 5일 밝혔다.
이번 동계전지훈련에는 전국에서 축구 중등부 10개 팀, 고등부 36개 팀, 대학부 7개 팀 등 총 53개 팀, 총 2천여 명이 참가해 합천의 우수한 훈련 여건을 무대로 실전 중심의 집중 훈련을 실시할 예정이다.
특히 중·고등부 참가 비중이 높아, 유소년부터 엘리트 선수 육성까지 폭넓은 수요를 아우르는 전지훈련지로서의 경쟁력을 다시 한번 입증했다.
합천군은 천혜의 자연환경과 함께 다수의 인조잔디 축구장, 체력단련시설 등 훈련에 최적화된 스포츠 인프라를 갖추고 있으며, 선수단의 장기 체류를 고려한 숙박·편의시설과 행정 지원을 지속적으로 강화해 왔다.
이러한 기반은 매년 반복 방문 팀이 증가하는 선순환 구조로 이어지고 있다.
전지훈련 기간 동안 선수단과 지도자, 관계자들의 장기간 체류로 인한 지역경제 파급 효과도 상당할 것으로 기대된다.
