[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 합천군은 삼성합천병원 소아청소년과와 외래산부인과에서 의료진 부재로 진료 공백이 발생함에 따라 주민 불편을 최소화하기 위한 대응 조치를 시행하고 있다고 5일 밝혔다.
이번 진료 공백은 산부인과 전문의 1명과 소아청소년과 전문의 1명 등 의사 2명이 계약 만료 이후 신규 채용이 지연되면서 발생했다.
진료 공백 기간은 전문의 채용 시까지로 병원 측은 소아청소년과 환자에 대해 내과에서 대체 진료를 실시하고 있으며, 다만 3세 미만 영유아의 경우에는 타 의료기관으로 안내하고 있다.
외래산부인과는 정기 진료 환자를 대상으로 진료 공백을 사전에 안내해 혼선을 최소화하고 있다.
합천군 보건소는 합천소방서 구조·구급 담당 부서와 진료 공백 상황을 공유하고, 응급환자 발생 시 인근 지역 의료기관으로 신속히 이송할 수 있도록 협조 체계를 구축했다.
이와 함께 군청 당직실 등 관련 기관에도 상황을 전파해 주민 안내에 차질이 없도록 했다.
합천군 보건소는 의료취약지 필수의료 강화를 위해 의료기관 지원사업을 지속적으로 추진해 왔다.
2025년 소아청소년과 지원사업을 통해 외래 진료 4천여 명이 의료 서비스를 이용했으며, 외래산부인과 지원사업을 통해서도 1천900여 명이 진료를 받았다.
보건소는 진료 공백 해소를 위해 의료진 신규 채용을 신속히 추진해 줄 것을 병원 측에 요청하는 한편, 필수의료 분야의 안정적인 운영을 위해 의료기관 지원사업을 지속적으로 보완하고 강화해 나갈 계획이다.
