이번 점검은 산림과 농경지가 맞닿아 있어 화재 위험이 높은 지역을 중심으로 이뤄졌다.
김태운 동구 부구청장이 직접 산불진화헬기에 올라 공중에서 영농 부산물 소각 우려 지점과 산림·주거지 경계 부근을 둘러봤다.
동구는 헬기 점검을 통해 능선과 급경사 등 지상 접근이 어려운 곳이나 마을과 가까운 산림 녹지를 신속하게 확인했다.
특히 산불이 발생하면 빠르게 확산될 가능성이 큰 곳을 중점 점검해, 즉각적인 지상 단속이 필요한 지역도 선별했다.
동구는 매년 산림 인접지역에서 불법 소각이 대형 산불로 이어질 위험이 큰 점을 감안해 사전 단속과 예방 활동을 이어오고 있다. 최근 영농기가 시작되면서 영농 폐기물 소각이 늘어나 산불 위험이 높아진 것도 이번 점검의 배경이다.
동구는 이번 점검을 바탕으로 불법 소각이 우려되는 지역에 대해 집중 계도와 단속을 벌일 방침이다.
아울러 읍·면·동과 연계한 주민 홍보도 강화하고, 위반 사항이 드러날 경우 과태료 부과 등 행정 조치도 적극 검토할 계획이다.
김태운 부구청장은 “공중 점검 결과 일부 취약지대는 즉각적인 제지와 주민 계도가 필요한 상황으로 보였다”며 “지상 단속팀과 연계해 집중 점검과 행정지도를 더욱 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다.
