대전시의회 이한영 의원(국민의힘, 서구6)이 23일 제292회 임시회 제1차 본회의에서 '청년 주거공간 확대를 위한 영구임대주택의 입주자격 완화 촉구 건의안'을 대표 발의했다.
이 건의안은 청년들에게 영구임대주택 입주 기회를 제공하기 위해 자격을 완화할 것을 정부 및 관계 부처에 요청하는 내용을 담고 있다.

그는 월평2동의 경우 지난 10년간 인구가 약 23% 감소하여 지역 경제 및 주거 환경 악화에 영향을 미쳤다고 언급했다.
이에 이 의원은 공실로 방치된 667세대의 임대주택을 인근 대학 학생이나 창업 청년들이 입주할 수 있도록 기회를 제공해야 한다고 강조했다.
영구임대주택의 입주자격을 완화하면 임대주택의 공급 취지를 되살리고, 지역 청년들의 안정적인 삶의 기반을 확보할 수 있을 것이라는 설명이다.
한편, 이날 본회의에서 채택된 건의안은 대통령실, 국회, 국토교통부 등 관련 부처와 주요 정당에 전달될 예정이다.
