이번 인증식은 지난해 처음 시범 운영된 ‘학부모 도전! 삶 성취 교육감 인증제’의 첫 공식 인증 수여식으로, 학부모의 자발적인 교육 참여를 제도적으로 인정했다는 점에서 의미가 크다.
행사에서는 바쁜 일상 속에서도 각자의 자리에서 실천을 이어온 학부모들의 여정을 담은 영상이 상영됐다. 영상에는 △학교 참여(School) △자녀 교육(Academic) △가정–학교 관계 맺기(Relationship) △부모–자녀 추억 쌓기(Memory) 등 4개 영역을 하나씩 성취해 나가는 과정이 담겨, 완벽한 부모가 아닌 ‘함께 성장하는 부모’의 모습이 따뜻하게 그려지며 참석자들의 공감을 이끌어냈다.

임종식 교육감은 “교육 현장에서 학부모의 역할은 갈수록 중요해지고 있다”며 “학교의 노력만으로는 교육이 완성될 수 없는 만큼, 학부모의 자발적인 참여를 이끌고 학교와 학부모 간 소통을 강화해 교육공동체가 다시 살아날 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 경북교육청은 이번 성과를 바탕으로 ‘2026년 학부모 도전! 삶 성취 교육감 인증제’를 오는 3월부터 운영할 예정이며, 참여 방법과 세부 내용은 경북교육청 학부모지원센터 누리집을 통해 안내할 계획이다.
