충남 아산시의회가 2일 오전 의회동 다목적실에서 ‘제7기 의정자문위원회 위촉식 및 간담회’를 열고, 새 자문위원회 운영을 본격화했다.
이번 위촉식은 의회의 주요 정책과 의정활동에 전문성과 객관성을 더하기 위해 마련된 자리로, 시민 중심의 합리적 정책 의사결정을 지원할 다양한 분야 전문가들이 참여했다.
행사에는 홍성표 의장을 비롯해 맹의석 부의장, 상임위원장단, 자문위원 등 20여 명이 참석했으며 위원 위촉장 수여 ,의장 인사말 ,위원장·부위원장 선출 ,운영 방향 협의 ,본회의장 견학 순으로 진행됐다.
제7기 의정자문위원회는 총 12명으로 구성되었으며, 충청남도 정책특별보좌관인 임기호 위원이 위원장으로, 아산시 학교운영위원장 협의회장인 박계연 위원이 부위원장으로 선출됐다.
위원장으로 선임된 임기호 위원장은 “현장 경험과 전문성을 바탕으로 시민 의견이 시정에 충실히 반영될 수 있도록 위원들과 함께 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
홍성표 의장은 “의정자문위원회는 복잡한 행정 환경 속에서 의회의 정책 역량을 강화하는 중요한 정책 파트너”라며 “전문가들의 제언을 적극 반영해 시민 중심의 의회 운영을 추진하겠다”고 강조했다.
