설 명절을 앞두고 대전 서구 지역사회가 이웃 사랑 실천으로 훈훈한 온정을 나누고 있다.
6일 서구 가장동 행정복지센터에는 가장동 녹색봉사회(회장 김형식)가 방문해 백미 10kg들이 50포를 전달했다. 이 단체는 한민시장 상인들이 중심이 되어 1995년부터 명절마다 어려운 이웃을 돕는 활동을 이어오고 있다.
김형식 회장은 “작은 나눔이지만 주민들에게 따뜻한 명절이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 봉사를 지속하겠다”고 말했다.
같은 날 관저2동에서는 지역 유통업체인 소플러스 서대전점(대표 오정열)이 300만 원 상당의 생필품 세트 100여 개를 기탁했다. 기름, 올리고당 등으로 구성된 생필품은 관내 취약계층 가정에 전달될 예정이다.
오 대표는 지난해에도 명절마다 같은 나눔을 이어온 바 있다. 그는 “지역에서 받은 사랑을 다시 나누는 것이 기업의 역할이라 생각한다”고 전했다.
복수동에서도 따뜻한 손길이 이어졌다. 지역사회보장협의체(위원장 서영순)는 직접 만든 불고기, 떡국떡, 탕류 간편식으로 구성된 ‘행복 꾸러미’를 마련해 독거 어르신 등 25가구에 전달했다.
협의체는 올해 건강관리 지원, 장학금 사업, 마을돌봄 물리치료사 운영 등 다양한 복지사업을 전개해 사회적 돌봄이 끊기지 않는 지역 공동체를 만들겠다는 계획이다.
