충남 아산시의회 건설도시위원회(위원장 김은복)가 지역 건설산업의 경쟁력 강화를 위해 현장과의 소통에 나섰다.
건설도시위원회는 6일 아산시 건축사회(회장 안성철)와 간담회를 열고 지역 건축산업의 운영 현황을 점검하며, 지역 건설업 활성화를 위한 다양한 협력 방안을 논의했다.
이날 간담회에는 위원회 소속 의원들과 건축사회 임원진이 참석해 지역 건설업체 참여 확대 ,지역 생산 자재 사용 촉진 ,법·제도 개선 등 현장의 목소리를 공유했다.
건축사회는 이날 “지속적인 경영 부담과 타지역 업체의 진입으로 지역 업체의 경쟁 기반이 약화되고 있다”며 “공공사업에서 지역업체 참여 비율 확대와 자재 사용 권장제 등 현실적인 제도 개선이 필요하다”고 건의했다.
이에 의원들은 “지역 건설산업은 일자리와 지역경제의 기반”이라며 “조례 제정과 정책 개선을 통해 제도적 틀을 마련하고, 집행부와 긴밀한 협의 체계를 구축하겠다”고 답했다.
건설도시위원회는 이번 간담회에서 나온 의견을 향후 의정활동에 반영하고, 관련 부서 및 단체와의 정례 협의 자리를 마련해 지역 건설산업의 지속 가능한 성장 모델을 모색할 계획이다.
김은복 위원장은 “지역의 건설 생태계가 튼튼해야 도시가 제대로 발전할 수 있다”며 “현장의 목소리를 정책에 충실히 담아내는 생산적 의정을 실천하겠다”고 말했다.
