【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 농한기 ‘찾아가는 힐링숲 프로그램’을 성황리에 마무리했다고 밝혔다.
군에 따르면, 지난해 12월부터 올해 1월까지 두 달간 진행된 ‘찾아가는 힐링숲 프로그램’에 관내 주민 1천320명이 참여했다.
이번 프로그램은 건국대 RISE 사업과 연계된 평생교육 활성화 프로그램의 일환으로, 2025년 충청북도 평생교육 프로그램 공모사업에 선정된 ‘숲과 함께 힐링 프로젝트’와 연계해 운영됐다.
지난해 ‘숲과 함께 힐링 프로젝트’의 숲해설가 및 자연숲명상지도사 양성과정을 통해 자격을 취득한 46명 중 25명이 이번 프로그램을 통해 참여 프리랜서 강사로서 첫발을 내디뎠다.
군은 농한기를 맞아 단체와 마을 경로당, 보건진료소, 지역아동센터 등 다양한 기관에서 신청을 받았으며, 양성된 지역인재를 통해 주민이 참여할 수 있는 다양한 숲 관련 프로그램을 운영했다.
프로그램은 △숲 생태 해설 △자연물 놀이 △자연숲 명상 등으로 참여자들이 자연의 소중함과 숲이 주는 가치를 느낄 수 있는 생태·심신·힐링 중심으로 진행됐다.
이번에 참여한 한 힐링숲 활동가는 “평생교육 프로그램을 통해 숲해설가 자격증을 취득하고 프리랜서 강사로 성장할 기회를 얻은 데 대해 감사하다”며 “주민들이 행복해하고 자연의 소중함을 공감하는 모습을 보면서 큰 보람을 느꼈다”고 말했다.
그러면서 “앞으로 숲을 매개로 환경의 소중함을 널리 알리고 지역사회와 자연을 잇는 가교역할을 할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
군 관계자는 “평생교육을 통해 새롭게 성장하는 전문가들을 응원한다”며 “앞으로도 지역민 모두가 삶의 질을 높이고 개인 역량 강화를 할 수 있는 평생교육 프로그램 운영에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
