보은군, 제107주년 3·1절 기념식 중앙사거리~뱃들공원 일원 개최

【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 보은군은 오는 3월 1일 제107주년 3·1절을 맞아 순국선열의 숭고한 독립 정신을 기리고 군민 화합과 애국심을 고취하기 위한 ‘태극기 물결 만세운동’을 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 한국자유총연맹 보은군지회(지회장 서동현) 주관으로 열리며, 최재형 보은군수를 비롯해 보훈단체 및 사회단체 회원, 군민 등 600여 명이 참여해 107년 전 울려 퍼졌던 대한독립만세의 함성을 재현할 예정이다.

이날 오전 9시 50분 참가자들이 태극기를 들고 중앙사거리에서 뱃들공원까지 약 660m 구간을 행진하며 태극기 물결을 이루고, 3·1운동의 역사적 의미와 그날의 벅찬 감동을 되새기는 시간을 가질 계획이다.

아울러 시가행진 이후에는 군민이 직접 참여하고 공감할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램도 마련된다. 평화의 소녀상 헌화를 통해 선열들의 희생을 기리고, 독립선언서 낭독으로 자주독립의 의지를 되새긴다. 

이어 보은군립합창단의 특별공연이 펼쳐지며, 행사 마지막에는 모든 참여자가 한마음으로 ‘독도는 우리땅’ 노래에 맞춰 플래시몹을 선보이며 나라 사랑의 의지와 애국심을 다지는 것으로 마무리할 예정이다.

최재형 보은군수는 “이번 3·1절 기념행사는 단순한 재현을 넘어 우리 후손들에게 자랑스러운 항일 정신과 독립의 의미를 계승하고 전달하는 소중한 역사적 책무”라며 “군민들과 함께 거리로 나서 그날의 벅찬 감동을 되새기고, 이를 통해 군민 모두가 하나로 화합하는 뜻깊은 계기가 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
