이번 임명장 수여자 가운데 2026학년도 공립 중등 영어 교과에 합격한 권시현(29) 씨는 출산의 고통과 기쁨이 가시기도 전인 출산 4일차에 산후조리원 대신 2차 시험장으로 향한 ‘불꽃 같은 의지’로 충북교육계에 큰 울림을 주고 있다.
권 씨는 만삭의 몸으로 지난해 11월 1차 시험에 응시했으며, 올해 1월에는 출산 4일 만에 수업실연과 심층면접으로 진행된 2차 시험을 치러 최종 합격했다.
권 씨는 합격 소감 발표를 통해“임용시험을 준비하던 시간은 뱃속의 아이와 함께 보낸 시간이었다”라며,“출산 직전과 직후에 시험을 치르며 교사가 된 만큼, 이제는 학생 한 명 한 명의 꿈과 삶이 더 무겁게 다가온다.”라고 말했다. 이어 “늘 신규교사와 같은 마음으로 배우며, 아이들의 가능성을 끝까지 믿고 기다리는 교사가 되고 싶다.”라고 밝혔다.
