【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교는 27일 오후 보건의료과학대학 청암홀에서 육군 137학군단(ROTC) 임관식 및 육군·공군 학군단 입단·승급식을 개최했다.
이날 행사에는 김윤배 총장을 비롯한 교무위원과 육군·공군 학군단 요원, 후보생 및 관계자, 학부모 등이 참석했다.
행사는 개식, 국민의례, 임관자 표창 및 상장 수여, 임관사령장 및 계급장 수여, 임관선서, 입단·승급 신고, 학년장 수여, 축사, 기념촬영, 폐식 등의 순으로 진행됐다.
임관식에 참여한 137학군단 64기 52명은 앞으로 자랑스러운 대한민국 육군 장교로 새롭게 출발하게 된다.
앞으로 임관하는 박용현 소위가 총장 표창(우암화랑상)을 받았으며, 유선주, 권도훈 소위가 공로상을 수상했다.
이날은 또 65기 40명에 대한 승급식과 66기 50명에 대한 입단식도 진행됐다.
또 이날 공군사관후보생 가운데 조종후보생을 포함한 일반후보생 34명에 대한 입단식과 23명에 대한 승급식도 함께 진행됐다.
이들은 학기 중에 군사훈련과 정신전력 등 6시간의 군사교육을 받고 3학년 여름방학과 4학년 겨울방학에는 공군교육사령부 기본군사훈련단에 입영해 강도 높은 훈련을 소화하는 등 모든 과정을 통과하면 졸업 후 소위로 임관해 3년간 의무복무하게 된다.
청주대는 현재 공군·육군 학군단과 군사학과 등 3곳을 모두 보유한 국내에서 유일한 대학으로, 초급장교 산실의 요람으로 거듭하고 있다.
김윤배 총장은 축사를 통해 ”육군 장교로 임관하는 여러분은 조국과 민족의 미래를 짊어진 책임 있는 지도자로서의 길을, 용기 있고 지혜롭게 그리고 당당히 걸어가야 한다”며 “여러분 모두 명예로운, 그리고 긍지 높은 대한민국의 육군 장교가 돼주길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
이어 김윤배 총장은 “승급·입단하는 육군·공군 후보생들은 선배들의 노력과 열정을 계승, 발전시키고 장교로서 갖춰야 할 강인한 체력과 인성, 확고한 국가관을 키워야 한다”고 당부했다.
청주대 137학군단은 전국 108개 학군단 중 정원 최다 3위 유지, 국방부 주관 학군단 설치대학 평가에서 9년 연속 최우수 대학에 선정, 전국 학군단 연 인원 2,400여 명 중 4명만 선발되는 최정예 전투원에 2명 선발 등 명품 학군단으로서 위상을 확고히 하고 있다.

Cheongju University held the commissioning ceremony for the 137th ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) and the enlistment and promotion ceremonies for the Army and Air Force ROTCs on the afternoon of the 27th at the Cheongam Hall in the College of Health and Medical Sciences.
