【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시가 민간 주도의 청렴 문화 정착을 위해 올해 초부터 추진 중인 ‘청렴으로 하나되는 충주’ 범시민 운동이 지역 사회의 뜨거운 호응 속에 확산되고 있다고 3일 밝혔다.
바르게살기운동 충주시협의회(회장 김문흠)는 27일 열린 정기총회에서 회원들과 함께 ‘청렴 실천 결의대회’를 개최하고, 투명하고 공정한 지역 사회 조성에 앞장설 것을 다짐했다.
이번 행사는 지난 2월 15일 새마을지도자 충주시협의회에서 시작된 민·관 협력 청렴 운동의 연장선으로, 자유총연맹에 이어 바르게살기운동협의회가 동참하며 범시민 청렴 운동에 힘을 보탰다.
이날 회원들은 청렴 결의서를 낭독하며 공직사회는 물론 지역 사회 전반에 청렴 가치를 확산하겠다고 선언했다.
또한 참석자 전원이 청렴 실천 서약서를 작성하며 일상 속 부패 척결과 정직한 문화 확산에 솔선수범할 것을 약속했다.
김문흠 회장은 “진실·질서·화합이라는 협의회의 3대 이념은 ‘청렴’이라는 기반 위에 세워진다”며 “충주시가 대한민국을 대표하는 청렴 도시로 거듭날 수 있도록 회원 모두가 청렴 파수꾼이 되겠다”고 밝혔다.
이정인 감사담당관은 “지역 핵심 민간단체의 적극적인 참여는 ‘청렴 충주’ 브랜드를 완성하는 데 큰 힘이 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 다양한 단체와 협력해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 청렴 문화를 조성해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
