이번 장학금은 협의회가 제천시 관내 초·중·고 학생들의 학업 지원을 위해 기탁한 200만원으로, 저소득 및 교육 취약 학생에게 전달될 예정이다. 

제천교육지원청 이범모 교육장은 “취약계층 학생들을 위해 뜻깊은 장학금을 기탁해 주신 데 깊이 감사드리며, 소중한 정성이 학생들의 꿈을 키우는 밑거름이 되도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말하였으며, 협의회 김용기 회장은 “제천의 학생들이 경제적 어려움 없이 학업에 매진하길 바라는 마음에서 장학금을 조성했다”며, “앞으로도 제천교육지원청과 긴밀히 협력하여 교육발전을 위한 나눔을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
