[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 대학생 주거비 부담 완화를 위해 추진 중인 ‘대학가 상생형 월세 안정화 모델’의 세부 추진 상황을 공식 발표했다고 4일 밝혔다.
이번 대책은 경상국립대학교 학생위원회의 기자회견 이후 제기된 주거 안정 요구에 대응해 마련, 시는 관계부서 협의와 현장 점검을 병행하며 단계적으로 정책을 추진해왔다.
시는 지난 1월 27일 부시장 주재 회의를 열어 종합 대책을 마련했으며 지난 2월 9일에는 5개 기관·단체와 대학 인근 월세 안정화를 위한 상생협력 업무협약을 체결했다.
이어 시는 2월 11일 경상국립대 신입생 오리엔테이션 현장을 찾아 청년 월세 지원사업 홍보물 6000여 장을 배부하며 제도 안내와 상담을 진행했다.
또 시는 지난 2월 23일에는 한국토지주택공사 경남지역본부를 방문해 가호동 일원 청년 매입임대주택 물량 확대를 공식 건의했다.
또한 시는 2월 25일 경상국립대 졸업식장에서는 전세사기 피해 예방과 청년월세 지원, 찾아가는 임대차 법률 상담소를 운영해 안전한 부동산 거래를 안내했다.
