민선 8기 청주시는 ‘꿀잼청주’를 시정의 핵심으로 삼고 축제, 야간경관, 힐링 관광 인프라 등 꿀잼 콘텐츠 확보에 총력을 기울이면서 도시의 매력을 한층 더하고 있다.
청주의 축제와 문화행사는 양적 확대를 넘어 질적 변화를 이뤘다.
청원생명축제, 공예비엔날레, 초정약수축제, 국가유산야행 등 기존 축제는 시민 참여형 프로그램을 대폭 확대해 체류형 행사로 발전시키며 시민 만족도를 높였다.
