이번 교육은 오지마을을 중심으로 연 1회 방문해 경운기, 관리기, 동력분무기, 예취기 등 농가에서 많이 사용하는 농업기계를 수리하고 안전사고 예방교육을 병행하는 방식으로 진행된다. 또한 개당 단가 5만 원 이하의 부품은 무료로 지원할 계획이다.
지난해에는 171개 마을 2,616농가를 대상으로 4,804대의 농업기계를 수리해 농업인의 농업기계 수리 불편을 해소하고 수리비 절감에도 기여했다.
군은 농업인의 적기 영농과 경영비 절감을 위해 농업기계 임대사업장을 본소와 지소 4개소로 운영하며 농업인들이 편리하게 농업기계를 임대해 사용할 수 있도록 지원하고 있다. 또한 농지 면적 1ha 미만이면서 만 70세 이상 고령농 또는 여성농업인을 대상으로 경운, 정지, 수확 작업을 농업기계 임대료만 받고 연간 2회 지원하는 농작업 대행 서비스 사업도 추진하고 있다.
