[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 올해로 27회를 맞이한 ‘하동 화개장터 벚꽃축제’가 오는 3월 27일부터 29일까지 3일간 화개면 그린나래공원과 십리벚꽃길 일원에서 개최된다.
우리나라 대표 벚꽃 명소인 십리벚꽃길을 중심으로 펼쳐지는 이번 축제는, 벚꽃과 함께 즐길 수 있는 다양한 공연과 프로그램을 통해 상춘객들에게 특별한 봄의 추억을 선사할 예정이다.
특히 올해는 지난해 산불 피해로 축제를 열지 못했던 아쉬움을 딛고 더욱 풍성한 프로그램과 안전한 행사 운영을 위해 준비에 심혈을 기울이고 있다.
축제는 벚꽃노래자랑 및 벚꽃 DJ 뮤직 페스티벌, 청소년 댄스 경연대회 등이 개최돼 다 같이 어우러지는 화합의 공간이 될 예정이다.
이와 함께 플리마켓, 차 시음 행사, 별맛부스 등 다채로운 즐길 거리와 먹거리를 포함해 벚꽃길을 따라 펼쳐지는 감성적인 문화 프로그램은 관광객들에게 하동 봄의 정취를 한껏 느끼게 할 전망이다.
이 가운데 축제의 특별 프로그램인 ‘벚꽃 웨딩로드 포토존’행사가 많은 관심을 받고 있다.
‘웨딩로드 포토존’행사는 28일~29일 양일간 진행되며 신청 접수된 200여 팀 중 특별한 사연을 담은 20팀을 엄선해 전문 사진작가와 촬영을 진행할 예정이다.
축제 기간 중 28~29일과 4월 4일~5일 주말은 화개면 일부 구간에 ‘차 없는 거리’를 운영하고 일방통행 구간을 마련하는 등 교통을 통제할 계획이다.
군 관계자는 “지난해 산불로 인해 벚꽃축제를 개최하지 못해 군민과 관광객 모두에게 큰 아쉬움이 있었다”며 “올해는 더욱 철저한 준비와 풍성한 프로그램으로 하동의 봄을 기다려온 많은 분에게 잊지 못할 벚꽃 추억을 선사하겠다”고 말했다.
