이날 행사에는 서태원 가평군수를 필두로 상면 이장협의회, 노인회, 새마을지도자협의회 등 지역을 이끄는 주요 단체와 주민 100여 명이 한자리에 모였다. 참가자들은 윷가락이 허공을 가를 때마다 탄성과 환호를 쏟아내며, 승패를 떠나 서로를 격려하는 훈훈한 풍경을 연출했다.

행사장 한편에서는 푸짐한 행운권 추첨과 우승팀 시상식이 열려 잔치의 흥을 돋웠으며, 정성껏 준비한 음식들이 더해져 참가자들의 입가에 웃음꽃이 피어났다.
