[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 안병구 밀양시장이 23일 국가유산청을 방문해 허민 청장과 면담을 갖고, 국립무형유산원 분원 건립 등 밀양시의 주요 문화유산 현안 사업에 대한 정부 차원의 적극적인 지원과 국비 확보를 건의했다.
이번 방문은 밀양시가 보유한 문화유산의 체계적인 전승·보존과 문화관광 자원화를 위한 협력 방안을 논의하기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 면담에서는 올해 9월 착공 예정인 국립무형유산원 분원 건립이 차질 없이 추진될 수 있도록 국가유산청의 지속적인 관심과 적극적인 지원을 당부했다.
또한, 무형유산원과 연계하여 추진되고 있는 밀양 무형유산 전수교육관 조성 사업비 증액에 따른 국비 추가 지원의 필요성을 역설했다.
이와 함께 밀양아리랑의 가치 확산 및 K-컬처 연계 콘텐츠 육성 필요성을 설명하고, 관광객 편의와 역사적 가치 제고를 위한 영남루·향교 주변 공원·주차장 조성 사업의 시급성을 강조하며 국가 차원의 적극적인 지원을 건의했다.
