전북 임실군은 본격적인 영농철을 앞두고 외국인 계절근로자 입국과 농가 배정으로 농촌 인력난 해소에 시동을 걸었다.
임실군은 오는 26일부터 라오스 계절근로자 33명과 베트남 계절근로자 72명의 단체입국을 시작으로 5월까지 총 274명이 순차적으로 입국할 예정이라고 24일 밝혔다.
1차 입국자 105명은 지자체간 업무협약(MOU)을 통해 도입된 라오스 근로자와 지난해 말 베트남 뚜옌꽝성 현지에서 직접 선발한 공공형 계절근로자 40명이 포함됐다.
외국인 계절근로자들은 인천국제공항을 통해 입국한 뒤 임실군 외국인 근로자 전용 기숙사에 입소한 뒤 환영식ㆍ한국 생활 적응 교육 및 안전교육ㆍ근로자 준수 사항 등 현지 적응에 필요한 교육을 실시한 뒤 각 농가에 배치될 예정이다.
