옥천·청산향교, '26년 춘기 석전제 봉행

【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군은 24일 오전 11시, 옥천향교와 청산향교에서 공자를 비롯한 성현들의 덕을 기리는 ‘2026년 춘기 석전제’를 일제히 봉행했다고 밝혔다. 

석전제는 유교의 창시자인 공자를 위시(爲始)한 4성 18현을 추모하고 그 고귀한 덕을 기리는 제례 의식이다. 옥천·청산향교는 매년 봄과 가을, 음력 2월과 8월의 상정일(丁자가 들어가는 초일)을 택해 석전제를 올리며 민족 고유의 전통문화 계승에 앞장서고 있다.

충청북도 유형문화재 제97호로 지정된 옥천향교(옥천읍 교동리)에서는 지역 원로, 유림, 기관단체장 등 70여 명이 참석한 가운데 엄숙하게 제례가 진행됐다.

이날 봉행은 초헌관이 향을 피우고 폐백을 올리는 전폐례로 시작으로 초헌례, 아헌례, 종헌례, 분헌례, 음복례 순으로 이어졌다. 초헌관에는 곽상혁 옥천읍장, 아헌관에는 박정애 옥천교육지원청 교육장, 종헌관에는 김대훈 옥천문화원장이 맡아 선현들의 덕을 추모했다.
