대전 중구의회가 25일 제272회 임시회 제2차 본회의를 끝으로 제9대 의회의 주요 공식 일정을 사실상 마무리했다.
지난 2022년 7월 출범한 뒤 4년 가까이 이어온 의정활동이 종착점에 이르면서, 이번 회기는 제9대 의회의 마지막 공식 회기로 의미를 갖게 됐다.
이번 임시회는 지난 20일부터 25일까지 6일간 진행됐다. 회기 동안 각 상임위원회는 구민 생활과 맞닿은 조례안과 일반안건 등 23건을 심의했고, 본회의에서는 이를 최종 처리했다. 아울러 2025회계연도 세입·세출 결산을 점검할 결산검사위원도 선임했다.
제9대 중구의회는 이번 임시회까지 모두 31차례 정례회와 임시회를 열어 약 530건의 안건을 처리했다. 의회는 그동안 구민 복리와 지역 현안 해결을 위한 입법·심의 활동을 이어왔다고 자평했다. 숫자로 보면 적지 않은 의사일정이었지만, 남은 평가는 결국 각 안건이 주민 생활의 변화로 얼마나 이어졌는지에서 가려질 수밖에 없다.
