자활커피공방사업단은 커피 제조 및 매장 운영 등 실무 중심의 직무 경험을 제공하고, 참여자의 취·창업 역량 강화를 통해 단계적인 자립을 지원하는 자활근로사업이다.
이번에 새롭게 문을 여는 ‘CAFE on’은 옥천통합복지센터 1층에서 운영 중인 1호점 ‘카페프란스’의 운영 경험을 바탕으로 확대 개설된 사업장으로, 자활사업 참여자의 자립 기반을 강화하고 실질적인 창업 기회를 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 2호점은 1호점에서 바리스타 및 매장 운영 경험을 쌓은 참여자 2명이 중심이 되어 운영한다. 이들은 그간 축적된 실무 역량을 바탕으로 매장 운영을 주도하며, 오는 9월 자활기업 창업을 목표로 하고 있어 의미를 더하고 있다.
‘CAFE on’은 옥천읍 삼양로6길 3에 위치하고 있으며, 평일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 운영된다. 커피와 음료, 디저트 등을 판매하며 지역 주민들에게 편안한 휴식 공간을 제공할 예정이다.
