김수현 세종시장 예비후보, 경선 결과 수용 ‘원팀’ 합류

더불어민주당 김수현 세종시장 예비후보가 6일 당내 본경선 결과를 겸허히 수용한다는 입장을 공식 발표했다. 

김 후보는 그간 지지를 보내준 시민과 당원들에게 감사를 전하며 경선 일정을 마쳤다.

그는 지난 2월부터 60일 넘게 세종시 전역을 누비며 시민들의 의견을 청취하는 ‘경청투어’를 진행했다. 거대 담론 대신 시민의 일상과 밀착한 실질적인 정책 과제들을 발굴하는 데 주력했다는 평가를 받는다.

경선 결과 발표 뒤 김 후보는 당의 승리와 세종의 변화를 위해 ‘원팀’으로 합류하겠다는 뜻을 밝혔다. 

나아가 세종 발전을 위해 함께 경쟁했던 다른 후보들에게 경의를 표하며 통합의 정치의 중요성을 강조했다.

김수현 예비후보는 후보 신분은 내려놓지만 도시 기획자로서 시민의 일상을 변화시킬 정책적 대안 마련은 지속할 방침이라는 뜻을 전했다. 이어 현장에서 확인한 시민들의 목소리를 가슴에 새기고 지역 발전을 위한 소임을 다하겠다고 덧붙였다.
