[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주시가 4월 18일부터 19일까지 양주 회암사지(국가사적) 일원에서 열리는 ‘제9회 양주 회암사지 왕실축제’에서 회암사지의 세계유산적 가치를 알리기 위한 ‘’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
세계유산 여정관은 회암사지의 역사적 가치와 세계유산적 의미를 소개하는 전시관 형태로 운영되며, 진주무관 팬사인회와 SNS 홍보 이벤트 등 다양한 프로그램이 진행된다.
또한 지난 3월 위촉된 양주 회암사지 주민협의체 2기 위원(위원장 오흥진, 위원 20명)들이 참여해 세계유산 등재 추진을 위한 온·오프라인 서명운동과 퀴즈 이벤트 등 홍보 활동을 펼칠 예정이다.
이번 축제는 ‘다시 뛰는 역사, 세계유산을 향하다’를 주제로, 7월 부산에서 열리는 제48차 유네스코 세계유산위원회를 앞두고 회암사지의 가치를 체험하고 이해할 수 있도록 기획됐다.
양주 회암사지는 2022년 유네스코 세계유산 잠정목록에 등재됐으며, 2025년 국가유산청 세계유산 우선등재목록에 선정됐다. 시는 2029년 세계유산 등재를 목표로 관련 절차를 추진하고 있다.
