더불어민주당 장철민 대전시장 경선 후보가 대전의 경제 구조를 근본적으로 혁신해 ‘아시아의 딥테크 수도’로 도약시키겠다는 야심 찬 청사진을 공개했다.
국회 산업통상자원중소벤처기업위원회 예결소위원장을 지낸 ‘산업·경제 전문가’ 장 후보는 12일, 자본과 에너지의 독립부터 첨단 인프라 구축, 창업 생태계 활성화를 아우르는 ‘대전 산업 대개조 및 경제 부흥 10대 약속’을 발표했다.
장 후보는 대전의 미래를 위해 ‘자율적인 경제 인프라’ 구축을 최우선 과제로 꼽았다. 3조 원 규모의 '충청권산업투자공사'를 설립해 유망 기업의 자본 유출을 막고 지역 주도의 글로벌 유니콘 기업을 육성한다는 계획이다.
또한 1조 원 규모의 '대전전력공사'를 세워 저렴한 산업용 전기를 공급하고, 신대전 변전소 및 대형 GPU 거점센터를 조기 착공해 AI 산업의 핵심인 전력과 데이터를 선점하겠다고 밝혔다.
특히 행정 데이터를 민간에 개방해 수익을 창출하고, 이를 시민들에게 환원하는 세계 최초 ‘AI 기본소득(데이터 배당)’ 도입을 약속했다.
