더불어민주당 신혜영 대전 서구청장 예비후보가 ‘내일이 기대되는 더 큰 서구’를 슬로건으로 내세운 7대 핵심 공약을 공개했다.
13일 대전시의회 기자실에서 기자회견을 열고 공약을 발표 한 신 예비후보는 현 서구 행정을 향해 ‘불투명하고 폐쇄적인 행정’과 ‘불통의 정치’라고 강하게 비판하며, 청렴과 책임 중심의 투명한 행정을 통해 구민의 신뢰를 회복하겠다는 의지를 드러냈다.
신 예비후보가 제시한 7대 공약은 국방, 의료, 교통, 경제, 복지, 환경, 지방자치 등 서구의 미래 성장을 견인할 분야를 망라하고 있다.
우선 국방과 의료 분야에서 도시 경쟁력을 높이겠다는 전략이다.

교통 및 경제 분야에서는 트램 정부대전청사역에 ‘지하 복합환승센터’를 건립하고 교통 소외 지역에 스마트 셔틀을 투입하여 무장애 교통복지를 실현할 예정이다.
소상공인의 디지털 전환을 지원하는 ‘서구경제플러스’ 플랫폼을 통해 지역 기반의 자립형 경제 도시 모델도 제시했다.
복지와 환경, 자치 분야에서도 세밀한 정책을 내놨다. AI 기술을 접목한 돌봄망 구축으로 복지 사각지대를 해소하고, AI 재난관리 시스템과 녹지축 연결을 통해 안전하고 쾌적한 도시 환경을 만들겠다고 약속했다.
