국민의힘 대전광역시당 공천관리위원회가 제9회 전국동시지방선거를 앞두고 주요 선거구 및 비례대표 후보자 선정을 위한 속도를 내고 있다.
대전시당 공천관리위원회는 15일 제8차 회의를 열고 후보자 공천을 위한 서류 및 심층 면접 심사를 진행했다. 이날 회의를 통해 대전시의회 비례대표 후보와 중구의회 비례대표 후보, 그리고 서구 지역 후보자가 최종 확정됐다.
우선 대전 서구 제4선거구에는 경선에 단독 입후보한 송재웅 후보가 최종 후보자로 확정됐다.
이와 함께 관심을 모았던 비례대표 후보 명단도 공개됐다.
대전광역시의회 비례대표 후보로는 조재철 후보가 1번, 오재웅 후보가 2번으로 각각 이름을 올렸다. 중구의회 비례대표 후보로는 홍성옥 후보가 1번으로 최종 의결됐다.
대전시당 공천관리위원회 관계자는 “엄정한 서류 검토와 심층 면접을 거쳐 지역 발전에 기여할 수 있는 인재를 선정하는 데 주력했다”며 “확정된 후보들이 이번 지방선거에서 좋은 결과를 낼 수 있도록 당 차원의 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
국민의힘 대전시당은 이번 후보 확정 외에도 일부 미정 지역에 대한 추가 공모를 실시하고 후속 공천 절차를 이어가며 지방선거 승리를 위한 진용 갖추기에 총력을 기울일 방침이다.
