독서생활운동중앙회와 월간 <북라이프>가 공동주최한 제7회 독후감백일장에서 박은태 한국산업기술진흥원 산업지능화팀 연구원이 성인부 최우수상을 수상했다.
독후감 백일장은 독서생활운동중앙회와 월간 <북라이프>가 ‘대한민국 독서지수를 높이자’는 슬로건 아래 매년 9월 개최하는 이벤트로, 올해는 학생부에서 826편이, 성인부에서 353편이 응모돼 전문가들의 심사를 거쳐 수상작이 결정됐다.
박은태 연구원은 “한국이 낳은 글로벌리더의 삶과 가치관을 담은 『반기문 리더십』에서 자신의 인생을 능동적이고 주체적으로 살아갈 수 있는 길을 찾았다“고 수상소감을 밝히면서 “현재의 사회에는 개개인이 처한 상황을 주도적으로 이끄는 잠재적 리더들이 무수히많은데, 우리는 누구나 리더가 될 수 있으며 보다 긍정적이고 발전적으로 나아가려면‘좋은’리더가 되고자 그에 따른 학습과 경험이 필요하다.”고 강조했다.
반기문 총장에 대해 ‘만물을 이롭게 하지만 다투지 않는 물의 철학’과 ‘풍부한 유머감각을지닌 감성리더십의 소유자’라고 분석한 박은태 연구원은 독후감에서 이렇게 썼다.
“중용, 물의 성질, 부드러운 카리스마 이 세 용어가 주는 공통적인 느낌이 나에게편안하게 다가왔는데. 왜냐하면 대개 ‘리더’라는 단어의 단편적 이미지는 개인적으로는 고압적이고 세차며 강한 느낌이 크기 때문이다. 그래서 언젠가 내가 누군가를 이끌 위치에 서게 되면, 부드럽고편안한 리더가 되어야겠다는 막연한 생각을 한 적이 있다. 이론과 생각뿐이었던 것을몸소 실천하신 총장님의 행동이 내 철학에 깊은 울림을 주었다. ‘君君臣臣父父子子’, 각자의 위치에서 주어진 역할만 제대로 잘 하자는 것이 나의 철학인데, 나의 가치관에 물의 철학까지 더하고자 다짐한다. 더불어, 유머와 감성까지 곁들인다면 더할 나위 없이 좋은 사람, 좋은 리더가될 수 있지 않을까?”
박은태 연구원은 “최근 몇 년 전부터 기업이 추구하는 인재상이 통섭형 인재인데, 나는 12년도 이공계열 대학교를 졸업한 후에야 통섭의 중요성을 뒤늦게 느끼고 지금까지도 인문학적 소양을 위해 공부를 하고 있지만, UN 국제기구 총장이 되기 훨씬 전부터 다방면을 아울렀던 그의 선구자적인 면모는 정말 놀랍다.”고 쓰면서 “나도 도전하는 데에 주저함이 없는 편이지만 계획적이지 않고 충동적인 면이 큰 편이기에, 그를 본받아 도전에도 계획적으로 접근하는 자세를 키울 것”이라고 밝혔다. 박은태 연구원은 “머리는 구름 위에 두고 두 발은 땅에 굳게 디뎌라”라는 문구를 인용하면서 “이제까지는 나의 몽상가적 기질로, 머리만 구름에 두둥실 뜨게 했었다면, 앞으로는 내 장래와 비전을 위해 다양하고 많은 배움과 경험으로 하체를 튼튼히 키워 짙은 발자국을 새기며 걷도록두 다리 굳게 디뎌 나아갈 것“이라고 글을 맺었다.
독후감백일장 심사위원회는 “박은태 연구원의 독후감은 저자의 의중을 정확히 읽어내면서 반기문 총장의 리더십에 대해 본인이 실천할 수 있는 방향과 비전에 대해 논리정연하게 제시했다”고 평가했다.

“The common feeling of the three terms: moderation, water quality, and soft charisma came to me at ease. This is because the fragmentary image of the word “leader” usually feels high-pressure, carwash, and strong personally. So, once I was in a position to lead someone, I had the vague thought of becoming a gentle and comfortable leader. The president's actions, who personally put into practice what were only theories and thoughts, gave a deep resonance to my philosophy. Researcher Eun-Tae Park said, “In recent years, the talented people pursued by corporations is consolidation-type talent, and I felt the importance of consilience lately after graduating from a science and engineering university in 12 years, and I am still studying for humanities literacy.
