추경호 국회의원(기획재정위원회)과 양금희 국회의원(산업통상자원중소벤처기업위원회)이 ‘K-배터리 발전과 지자제 이차전지 산업육성 포럼’을 개최했다.
8일 오전 10시 인터불고호텔에서 개최된 이번 포럼은 이차전지 관련 기업과 대학, 전문가들이 참석한 가운데 주제발표와 패널 토의 및 질의 응답 순서로 진행되었다.

해당 포럼은 지역에서 K-배터리 발전 전략을 공유하고 이차전지 관련 기업과 연구기관, 대학 등이 상호 협력과 네트워킹을 강화하는 장을 마련하기 위해 마련되었다.
포럼에서는 산업통상자원부 전자전기과 신용민 과장이 정부의 ‘이차전지 산업 동향 및 K-배터리 발전 전략’을 설명했고, 한국전기연구원 김현수 책임연구원이 ‘차세대 이차전지 기술 및 산업 동향’을, 한국전지산업협회의 구회진 본부장이 ‘사용 후 배터리 재사용 및 지자체 산업화 방향’에 대해 각각 주제 발표를 이어갔다.
주제 발표 후, 대구경북과학기술원 이호춘 교수가 좌장을 맡고, 지역의 이차전지 관련 기업인 L&F 장성균 연구소장과 CIS 강희국 연구소장이 패널로 참여하여 지역 이차전지 산업 현황을 공유하고 정부의 ‘2030 이차전지 산업 발전 전략’과 ‘차세대 전지의 글로벌 트렌드’에 맞는 지역의 이차전지 산업화 방향에 대해 활발한 토의를 진행되었다.
포럼을 공동 주최한 추경호 국회의원은 “저는 대구 전체의 경제문제에 대해 관심을 많이 가지고 있다. 특히 달성2차 산업단지 내 부지를 활용한 ‘차세대 배터리 파크’ 조성을 추진중이다.”면서 “앞으로 국책 사업 등 배터리 파크에 들어설 수 있도록 총력을 기울이겠다”고 입장을 전했다.
또한, 양금희 의원은 “국회 산업통상자원중소벤처기업위원회 위원으로 이차전지 산업의 발전과 지역별 특화전략 마련을 위해 정책적 지원을 다하겠다.”고 강조하며 “이번 포럼이 대구시에서 준비하는 스마트 에너지 탄소중립 도시 조성과 지역 경제 활성화에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.”고 밝혔다.
아울러 대구시 정해용 경제부시장은 “대구가 미래산업으로 나아가기 위해서는 그동안 꾸준히 투자와 지원을 이어왔다. 그 중 2차 전지 산업을 어떻게 지원해서 획기적인 성장시킬 수 있을지에 대해 고민하겠다”는 입장을 전했다.
