계성중학교(교장 장영중)가 대구 중구 최초의 치매극복선도학교로 지정되었다.
대구 중구보건소 치매안심센터(센터장 황석선)는 지난 17일 계성중학교를 중구 제 1호 치매극복선도학교로 지정하고 현판식을 개최했다.

치매극복선도학교 지정 사업은 다양한 사회 주체 중 학교를 동참시켜 치매에 대한 올바른 정보를 알게 하고 부정적 인식을 개선하기 위한 활동이다.
이를 위해 지난 달 대구 중구 치매안심센터는 계성중학교 전교생과 교직원에게 6교시 방송으로 치매파트너 교육을 시행했다. 교육 이수자는 일상에서 치매환자와 가족을 배려하는 치매파트너로서 치매친화적 사회문화 조성을 위해 노력하게 된다.
계성중학교 장영중 교장은 “치매극복선도학교로서 치매인식개선 캠페인 및 봉사활동에 적극적으로 참여하여, 치매환자와 가족을 이해하고 응원하는 동반자가 될 수 있도록 기여하겠다.”고 말했다.
중구보건소 황석선 소장은 “치매관리 중심기관으로서 다양한 사회주체들과 함께 치매정보 허브 구축에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 전했다.
