18일 시도의회의장협의회가 2022년 첫 임시회를 개최한 가운데 대구시의회 장상수 의장의 ‘도시재생 인정사업 국비지원 제도개선 촉구 건의안’이 원안대로 채택되었다.
도시재생 인정사업은 도시재생전략계획 상 지역별 재생방향에 부합하는 소규모 ‘점단위’ 개발 사업에 대해 국비·주택도시기금 등을 지원하는 사업이다.

현재 도시재생 인정사업의 사업비는 국비와 지방비를 5:5의 비율로 지원 하되, 국비는 최대 50억 원까지, 총사업비 중 부지매입비는 30% 범위 내에서 지원하고 있다.
이에 장상수 의장은 부지(건물) 매입비가 사업비의 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다는 사실을 지적하며 부지(건물) 매입비 지원범위를 총사업비의 50%까지 확대하도록 하는 내용의 건의안을 제출하였고 시도의회의장협의회에서 공식 안건으로 채택되어 소관부처인 국토교통부로 이송될 예정이다.
장 의장은 “지원 비율이 확대되면 각 지역의 도시재생 사업 추진 의지가 높아지고 지역 특성에 맞는 다양한 형태의 창조적 재생사업이 발굴될 것으로 기대한다“라며, “도심에 새로운 활력을 불어 넣을 재생사업이 더욱 활발히 추진 될 수 있도록 대구시의회에서도 관심을 갖고 지원하겠다”라고 말했다.
