진보당 대구시당(위원장 황순규)이 대구의 교통안전 지수가 전국 평균에 비해 낮다는 점을 지적하며 나섰다.

진보당 대구시당은 “지난해 11월 도로교통공단에서 발표한 ‘2020 전국 지방자치단체별 교통안전 지수’를 분석한 결과 대구지역 기초자치단체 중 한 곳도 전국 평균보다 높은 곳이 없는 것으로 나타났다.”고 밝혔다.
진보당이 분석한 바에 따르면 대구 중구의 경우 70.30점으로 가장 낮았고, 서구가 76.99점으로 상대적으로 높게 나타났으나 전국 평균인 78.83에는 미치지 못했다.
달성군의 경우도 80.60점으로 구 지역보다는 높게 나타났으나 군 지역 평균은 81.72점으로 평균보다는 낮게 나타났다.
A~E까지 등급으로는 달성군(61위), 남구(57위), 동구(56위), 서구(54위), 수성구(58위) D등급. 중구(68위), 북구(65위), 달서구(67위) E등급을 기록했다.
