대구대학교가 중소벤처기업부가 주관하는 ‘2022년 창업중심대학 지원사업’에 선정되었다는 소식을 전했다.
창업중심대학 지원사업은 지난 5월 정부에서 발표한 청년 창업 활성화 방안의 후속 조치로써 대학을 K-유니콘 기업의 산실로 육성하기 위해 추진되는 사업이다.

이번 사업에 선정된 대구대학교는 5년간 국비 375억 원(연간 75억 원), 경상북도비 15억 원, 경산시비 2.5억 원 등 총사업비 403.5억 원을 확보하였으며 대경권내 청년 창업 확산의 거점 역할 수행을 통해 성장단계별(예비·초기·도약) (예비)창업자 발굴·육성의 발판을 마련한다고 밝혔다.
대구대는 ‘경북·대구권 선순환 기술창업 벨트 구축 및 운영(GV)’을 비전으로 하여 ‘청년창업벨트(EB), 창업성장벨트(SB), GV청년창업인프라’와 같이 3개 핵심전략과제를 통해 대경권 청년창업자를 발굴·육성한다.
주요 지원대상으로 바이오·의료·생명·그린사업 분야의 성장단계별 창업기업을 연간 약 85개 사로 선발해 60여억 원을 지원하며, 전문투자사(VC)와의 벤처펀드 후속투자(35여억 원)와 수도권 전문액셀러레이터의 글로벌 진출도 연계할 계획이다.
이재현 대구대 창업지원단장은 “창업중심대학 및 권역 내 협업대학(경일대, 금오공대, 대경대, 안동대, 영진전문대, 포스텍)과 함께 지역 내 거점 지원기관으로서의 역할을 수행하겠다”면서 “우수 창업 인프라와 협업 네트워크를 활용해 청년창업을 확산시키고 성과를 창출할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

As main support targets, about 85 start-ups by growth stage in the bio, medical, life, and green business fields are selected annually and provided with KRW 6 billion in support. It also plans to link the global advancement of professional accelerators.
