대구사이버대학교(총장 이근용)가 2021학년도 학위수여식을 성황리에 마쳤다고 전했다.
지난 18일 진행된 대구사이버대학교의 온라인 학위수여식은 대학 홈페이지와 공식 유튜브 채널인 ‘대구사이버대학교TV’를 통해 공개되었다.

총 40분 분량의 졸업식 영상은 이근용 총장 회고사, 장익현 영광학원 이사장 축사, 각 학과 교수의 졸업 축하 인사, 재학생 송사, 졸업생 답사, 졸업생 및 수상자 명단 순으로 구성되었다.
이번 학위수여식에는 712명(학사 708명, 석사 4명)이 학위를 받았으며 올해로 20주년을 맞이한 대구사이버대는 개교 이래 학부 총 1만5881명, 대학원 총 251명의 누적 졸업생을 배출했다.
우수 학위자들에게는 학부 최우수상(특수교육학과 배진숙), 대학원 최우수상(미술상담학과 배소영), 학교법인영광학원이사장상(전자정보통신공학과 허재갑), 학부 공로상(미술치료학과 원동선, 재활상담학과 성형주), 대학원 공로상(미술상담학과 권기은) , 경상북도지사상(사회복지학과 김종윤, 재활상담학과 김우진), 경산시장상(행정학과 이양회), 대구은행장상(상담심리학과 유태정), 총동창회장상(행동치료학과 황연우) 등 상장이 수여되었다.
특히 이번 학위수여식에서는 대학이 특별히 진행한 졸업스토리 공모전 결과 및 수기 내용이 공개되어 눈길을 끌었다.
최우수상을 수상한 최윤환(한국어다문화학과)씨는 30년간 교직에 근무하다 퇴직을 1년 앞두고 사회복지학과와 한국어다문화학과를 연이어 졸업해 총 3개의 학위를 가지게 된 수기로 눈길을 끌었다.
최윤환 씨는 수기를 통해 “비록 나이는 이제 66세지만 아직 늦지 않았다는 생각으로 공부에 매진하였다”며 “취득한 다문화 자격증을 바탕으로 한국어와 우리 문화의 우수성을 세계에 알리고 싶다”는 포부를 밝혔다.
이근용 총장은 회고사를 통해 “결코 쉽지 않았을 학창 생활을 영광스럽게 마무리한 졸업생 여러분들이 자랑스럽다”며 “사랑·빛·자유라는 건학이념을 가슴에 품고 세상을 밝히는 인재가 되길 기원한다”고 말했다.
