대구시교육청(교육감 강은희)가 2022학년도 1학기 대안교육 위탁교육기관 신입생을 모집한다고 밝혔다.
대안교육 위탁교육기관은 정서 및 행동 문제로 학교생활 부적응과 학업중단 위기에 놓인 학생들에게 치유와 교육을 제공하여 사회 적응을 돕고 관계 회복을 통한 학생의 건강한 성장을 목적으로 운영하고 있다.

대구에서 운영되는 대안교육 위탁교육기관은 두비(Dobe)교실, 스콜라동산, 꿈못자리, 봉무인디교육센터, 카톨릭푸름터 등 5곳으로 1학기 대안교육위탁교육기관 교육과정은 정규교과 뿐만 아니라 정신과적 치료프로그램, 치유명상, 예술치료, 사회기술훈련, 진로탐색교육, 봉사활동, 요리교실, 자연체험교실 등 대안교과를 내용으로 한다.
대안교육 위탁교육기관은 오는 25일까지 신입생을 모집하며 위탁교육기간은 적응교육 1주를 포함한 총 16주 과정으로 28일부터 7월 15일까지 운영된다. 이와 함께 중ㆍ고등학생 대상 미혼모를 위한 카톨릭푸름터는 수시로 운영할 예정이다.
대구시교육청은 2022년도 대안교육 위탁교육기관 운영을 위해 예산 5억4천2백만원을 편성하고, 위탁교육기관 운영비로 최소 1,200만원에서 최대 1억 7,500만원까지 지원한다.
강은희 교육감은 “대안교육 위탁교육기관은 학생 개개인의 특성을 고려한 대안교육으로 학교생활에 어려움을 겪는 학생에게 적응력 향상 등을 돕고 있다”며 “앞으로도 학생 개개인의 특성에 맞는 위탁교육을 강화해 다양한 교육기회를 제공할 수 있도록 최선을 다 하겠다.”고 말했다.
