지난 3.9 대통령 선거의 호남 득표율을 보면, 이재명 후보가 압승했다. 중앙선거관리위원회 선거통계시스템에 의하면, 20대 대선 개표 결과 이재명 더불어민주당 후보는 호남지역인 전남=86.10%, 광주=84.82%, 전북=82.98%였다. 이 득표율에 따르면, 호남은 대통령은 이재명 이랄 수 있다.
