대구한의대학교(총장 변창훈) 문화콘텐츠센터(센터장 이승우)와 함께하는연구소(소장 박현지)가 개최한 전시회 ‘감정의 대화展’이 지난 9일 마무리되었다.
예천군 단샘어울림센터(舊, 예천읍사무소) 2층에서 진행된 이번 행사에서는 발달장애인 작가 권다연, 김지민, 김하연 등 장애로 인해 표현할 수 없었던 작가들의 일상과 감정이 담겨있는 작품이 전시되었다.

전시를 총괄한 박현지 소장은 “전시 제안을 받고 막막하던 때에 대구한의대 문화콘텐츠센터의 지원과 응원이 큰 도움이 되었다”면서 “며칠 전 어떤 관람객께서 작품 앞에서 눈물을 흘리셨다. 사회적 통념과 선입견에 구속되지 않은 자유롭고 독창적인 시선, 그 안에 깃든 발달장애인의 감정을 마주하셨기 때문일 터다. 이 공감과 감동이 더 많은 분께 전해지길 바란다.”고 말했다.
이승우 센터장은 “장애가 작가들의 뛰어난 실력을 가로막는 사회적 장벽이 되지 않길 바라며 앞으로 작가로서의 꿈을 훨훨 펼쳐나가길 빈다”며 “이 전시를 통해 자신이 잘하고 좋아하는 일로 소통의 기회를 얻게 된 작가들의 첫 전시인 만큼 많은 응원과 관심이 필요하다”고 말했다.
