대구보건대학교(총장 남성희) 신산업STAR사업단이 차세대 맞춤형 헬스케어를 선도할 인재 양성을 위해 의료기기 규제과학(RA) 전문가 과정 운영을 시작했다는 소식을 전했다.
사업단은 지난해 한국의료기기안전정보원(NIDS)으로부터 의료기기규제과학(RA)전문가 교육기관으로 지정받아 올해 제1차 교육과정을 개설했다.

RA전문가란 의료기기 판매 관련 국가의 법적 규제 기준을 파악해 해당 의료기기의 안전성과 유효성을 증명하는 의료기기 규제 전문가로 제품 설계 단계부터 사후관리까지 관리하는 전문 인력을 의미한다.
신업분야 특화 선도전문대학 지원사업의 일환인 RA전문가 과정은 의료기기제품 전(全)주기에 필요한 법적·과학적 규제기준에 근거해 품질관리(GMP), 사후관리, 임상, 해외인허가제도 등으로 운영된다. 내부 교원과 각 부문 전문 강사진을 섭외하여 온라인으로 진행한다.
총 40시간의 교육시간을 이수하면 국가공인자격인 ‘의료기기규제과학(RA) 전문가 2급’ 자격증 시험에 응시할 자격이 주어진다.
