김천대학교(총장 윤옥현) 산학협력단(단장 백열선)이 김천시(시장 김충섭)에서 추진하는 2022년 김천시 청년CEO 육성사업 수행기관으로 4년 연속 선정되었다는 소식을 전했다.
해당 사업은 좋은 아이템과 기술력을 가지고 있는 지역 청년들이 창업 또는 창직 등 양질의 일자리를 창출하고자 매년 시행하고 있는 사업으로 김천시 청년CEO 육성사업은 김천시 주소 또는 등록기준지를 둔 만 19세 이상 39세 이하의 지역청년들을 대상으로 시행된다.

주요 사업 내용으로는 창업활동비 지원(1인당 상, 하반기 총 1,200만원), 창업공간, 창업교육 및 컨설팅 등의 사업 혜택을 받게 된다.
사업의 모집분야는 기술창업(기계, 재료, 전기·전자, 정보통신, 화공, 섬유, 생명, 식품, 환경, 신재생에너지 등), 지식창업(지식콘텐츠, 마케팅홍보, 전문컨설팅, 디자인, 번역, 웹디자인, 프리랜스, 통신업, 문화서비스업, 통신판매업, 아이디어 창업 등), 6차산업 창업(농업과 연계된 가공 및 서비스업), 일반창업(부가가치가 높은 소상공인창업, 지역본사 프랜차이즈 창업 등)으로 총 4개 분야로 구분해 모집을 진행할 예정이다.
한편, 김천시 청년CEO 육성사업은 매년 김천시 관내 공공기관의 전폭적인 지원에 사업이 진행되고 있으며, 2021년의 경우 한국도로공사, 한국전력기술(주), 한국교통안전공단을 통해 창업활동금 추가지원(1인당, 300만원), 실적발표회 시상금 지원 등의 다양한 혜택을 제공했다.
아울러 김천대학교 산학협력단은 김천시와의 협약을 기점으로 4월 중으로 청년 예비 창업자(청년CEO) 모집공고를 진행할 계획이다.
