경남도, “2023 아태 마이스 비즈니스 페스티벌” 경남 유치

[브레이크뉴스=이성용기자] 국제회의복합지구 지정 및 대규모 국제회의 유치 등 마이스 산업의 지역위상 확립과 경쟁력 확보를 위해 추진하는 ‘아태 마이스 비즈니스 페스티벌’이 2023년 4월 창원컨벤션센터에서 개최된다.

지난해 5월 2022년 행사 개최지로 대전이 선정된 이후 차기 행사 유치를 위해 경남도와 창원시, 경남관광재단과 경남관광협회가 유기적으로 협력하여 적극적인 유치공세를 펼쳐 이뤄낸 성과다.

아태 마이스 비즈니스 페스티벌은 (사)한국마이스협회가 주관하고 문체부가 후원하여 2013년부터 개최된 행사로, 매년 협회원을 대상으로 개최했던 연례총회를 확대해 2018년부터 아태 마이스 비즈니스 페스티벌로 발전했다.
