(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 인천문화예술회관이 오는 6월 11일부터 양일간 4회에 걸쳐 육군 창작 뮤지컬 ‘블루헬멧: 메이사의 노래’를 개최한다.
뮤지컬 ‘블루헬멧: 메이사의 노래’는 가상의 국가 카무르에서 나고 자란 ‘라만’이 자신에게 꿈과 희망을 안겨 준 UN평화유지군의 ‘메이사(카무르어: 밝은 별)’를 찾아 한국으로 와 겪게 되는 이야기를 담았다.
UN평화유지군으로 활약하고 있는 우리 군의 위상을 바탕으로 총과 칼, 전쟁 대신 문화의 힘을 보여줄 이야기가 관객들을 기대하게 만든다.
화려한 캐스팅과 웅장한 무대, 뮤지컬 ‘블루헬멧: 메이사의 노래’
화려한 출연진이 눈길을 끄는데 카무르에 파병된 UN평화유지군 가온부대원들을 통해 다양한 한국 문화를 접하며 자라왔으며 유창한 한국어 실력을 자랑하는 ‘라만’역 박찬열(EXO)이 캐스팅 됐다.
특별한 꿈도 목표도 없이 그저 부모의 요구에 순응하며 살아왔지만 카무르에서 보낸 시간과 사건을 통해 큰 변화를 맞는 ‘연준석’역에는 배우 장기용이, 예술을 사랑하고 훗날 UN에서 일하며 사람들을 돕고 세계평화에 기여하고자 하는 꿈을 지닌 ‘윤선호’역에 김효진(온앤오프)이 그리고 이정혁 역으로 이승준(온앤오프)이 출연한다.
주요 출연진 외에도 총 46명에 달하는 배우가 출연하여 웅장한 무대를 선보일 예정이다.
국내 최정상급 제작진 총 동원
작품의 배경이 되는 두 국가의 서로 다른 문화를 표현하기 위해 다양한 장르의 음악과 무대 연출이 가미되었는데 이름만으로도 기대감을 높여줄 국내 최정상의 제작진이 총 동원되어 새로운 스타일의 뮤지컬이 창작됐다.
연출은 뮤지컬 광화문연가, 더 데빌 등 뮤지컬과 연극을 넘나들며 매 작품마다 세련되고 완성도 높은 무대를 선사해 온 대한민국을 대표하는 연출가 ‘이지나’가 나섰다.
음악감독으로는 뮤지컬 명성황후, 모차르트! 등 한국 관객이 가장 사랑하는 작품의 음악을 진두지휘하며 이름만으로도 신뢰를 안겨주는 작곡가 ‘김문정’이 참여했고 작곡은 뮤지컬 ‘그림자를 판 사나이’, 영화 ‘플레이백’ 등 장르를 불문하고 팝, 클래식, 국악까지 넓은 음악적 스펙트럼으로 독보적인 음악 세계를 선보이는 작곡가 ‘우디 박(Woody Pak)’이 맡았다.
