창원 출신 독립운동가 158인 알리기 적극 나서

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 제77주년 8·15 광복절을 맞아 ‘창원 출신 독립운동가 158인을 알리기’ 위해 적극적인 홍보에 나섰다.

작년에 이어 두 번째로 시행하는 독립운동가 알리기 홍보는 광복절의 역사적 의미를 되새겨 독립을 위해 희생하신 순국선열의 정신을 기리고자 독립운동가 158인의 이름이 새겨진 가로배너기를 창원광장 등 독립만세 운동을 전개한 창원지역 내 역사적인 장소에 게첨했다.

또한 8월 5~15일까지 ‘창원의 독립운동가 찾고~ 알고~ 기념하기 인증샷’ 행사를 실시해 참가자 200명에게는 추첨을 통해 광복절을 기념할 수 있는 소정의 기념품을 증정한다.

참여 방법은 창원시 곳곳에 설치된 독립운동가 배너기 1개를 촬영하고 인터넷을 통해 공훈전자사료관에서 독립유공자 정보, 독립유공자 공훈록, 촬영한 해당 독립운동가 검색 후 공훈록 내용 촬영해 시청 누리집 시민참여 모집신청접수 란에 사진을 게시하면 된다.

한편, 창원시는 나라를 위해 희생하신 국가유공자에 대한 예우 시책 사업, 보훈단체 운영 강화 및 활성화 사업을 지원하며 보훈 문화 확산 및 보훈 가족 예우 증진을 위해 노력하고 있다.
