세종시교육청이 학생들의 안전의식 제고를 위해 ‘개인형 이동장치 교육’을 강화한다고 밝혔다.
최근 전동킥보드 등 개인형 이동장치(PM, Personal Mobility)가 단거리 교통수단으로 자리잡고 있다.
특히, 세종시는 타지역보다 넓은 보행로, 자전거 도로를 갖춰 전동킥보드 등 타기 좋은 도시로 이용자가 늘어나고 있다.
현재 세종시 관내 대부분의 학교는 학생들의 안전을 위해 개인형 이동장치 통학을 금지하고 있다.
또한, 모든 학교에서 교육과정 연계 교통안전교육, 올바른 자전거?PM 타기 문화 조성 캠페인 참여 등 안전교육을 시행해왔다.
