(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천문화재단이 지난 5일 한국만화영상진흥원, 가톨릭대학교 부천성모병원과 만화도시 부천 조성을 위한 업무협약을 맺었다.
주요 협약 내용은 ▲기관 간 협력을 통한 만화도시 부천 이미지 구축 ▲만화도시 이미지 구축을 위한 부천성모병원 만화벽화 조성 ▲시민 대상 홍보와 문화도시 사업 연계 협조 등이다.
세 기관은 협약을 바탕으로 부천형 문화 공간 조성에 협력하고 시민에게 생활 속 문화예술을 제공해나갈 계획이다.
만화벽화가 조성되는 공간은 부천성모병원 내원객 주차장으로 소명여자중·고등학교와 성가시장을 잇는 도로 인근으로 시민 이동이 많은 곳이다.
벽화 주제는 ‘건강, 그 이상의 행복 실현’으로 시민을 대상으로 한 문화공공성 증대와 지역 재생에 기여할 전망이다.
부천문화재단 김정환 대표이사는 협약식에서 “이번 협약을 통해 시민 일상 공간인 부천의 대형병원에 만화로 벽화를 조성해 시민들에게 문화예술을 통한 희망과 용기를 전달하고 문화도시 조성사업을 앞으로도 지속 펼쳐나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
한국만화영상진흥원 신종철 원장은 “이번 벽화사업이 성공적인 사례로 이루어져 앞으로 더 좋은 일을 함께 만들어가는 한 걸음이 되었으면 한다”고 말했다.
가톨릭대학교 부천성모병원 김희열 병원장은 “부천을 대표하는 만화라는 문화콘텐츠를 통해 부천시민과 부천을 찾는 모든 이들이 쉴 수 있는 문화공간이 부천성모병원에 조성될 수 있기를 희망한다”고 전했다.
세 기관은 앞으로 협력을 지속하고 문화예술을 통한 시민 행복 증진을 위해 노력해나갈 방침이다.
