희망브리지와 오비맥주가 재난 현장에 ‘OB 워터’를 보낸다.
희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)는 10월27일 오전 언론에 배포한 보도자료를 통해 오비맥주가 재해구호용 ‘OB 워터’ 15만 캔을 기증해왔다고 밝혔다.
희망브리지와 오비맥주는 10월26일 희망브리지 파주재해구호물류센터에서 오비맥주 법무정책홍보부문 구자범 부사장과 희망브리지 김정희 사무총장 등이 참석한 가운데 OB 워터 기증 행사를 열었다.
OB 워터는 오비맥주가 재해구호만을 위해 특별히 생산한 355㎖ 용량 캔 제품이다. 기존 맥주공장 시설을 활용해 정제수에 소량의 탄산을 더했다. 맥주 양조에 쓰는 것과 동일한 정수 과정을 거치고 검사자의 관능검사를 통해 안전하고 깨끗하게 생산한 양조용수에 탄산을 가미해 식수로도 쓸 수 있다.
오비맥주는 앞으로도 맥주 생산 라인을 멈추고 직접 생산한 ‘OB 워터’를 구호물품으로 기부할 방침이다.
오비맥주 법무정책홍보부문 구자범 부사장은 “오비맥주는 지역사회 일원으로서 기업의 사회적 책임 이행을 핵심가치로 삼고 있다”며 “재난으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 분들에게 조금이나마 힘이 되는 기업이 되겠다”고 말했다.
희망브리지 김정희 사무총장은 “오비맥주는 2016년부터 수해, 지진, 산불, 코로나19 등 재난 때마다 생수를 기부해주셨고 모두 더하면 50만병에 이른다”며 “맥주 생산 라인을 멈춰가면서까지 ‘OB 워터’를 생산해 이재민들에게 전달할 계획인 오비맥주에 다시 한 번 감사 말씀 드린다”고 전했다.
