브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 농협경제지주는 4일 보도자료를 통해 산지원예부와 도매유통본부가 가을 수확기를 맞아 인력부족으로 어려움을 겪는 농가를 방문, 일손돕기를 실시하며 임직원 농촌봉사활동 릴레이에 동참했다고 밝혔다.
먼저, 농협경제지주 산지원예부는 지난 3일 경북 문경 고요리마을 사과 재배 농가를 찾아 일손을 보탰다. 이날 김영일 산지원예부장을 비롯한 산지원예부 직원 20여명은 관내 농협 직원들과 협력해 사과 수확작업을 돕고 현장의 어려움을 청취하는 시간을 가졌다. 산지원예부는 2013년 고요리마을과 자매결연을 맺은 이후 정기적인 일손돕기를 실시하는 등 활발한 교류를 이어오고 있다.
농협경제지주 도매유통본부도 최선식 도매유통본부장 등 임직원 11명이 참여한 가운데 4일 강원도 춘천시 관내 인삼 재배 농가를 방문해 인삼밭 내 차광 망 제거 작업, 농가 주변 환경 정리 등을 도왔다.
농협경제지주 최선식 도매유통본부장은 “고령화와 기후변화 등으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농촌에 조금이나마 도움이 돼 보람을 느낀다”며 “수확기 일손지원을 비롯해 다양한 방법으로 농업인들의 어려움을 덜어드릴 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 농협은 이달 말까지 ‘수확기 범농협 농촌일손돕기 집중 추진기간’으로 설정하고 계열사를 포함한 범농협 전 법인이 동참하고 있더, 농협경제지주 역시 부서별 일손돕기를 진행하며 영농철 일손부족으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 농가 지원에 앞장서고 있다.
