KT&G, 취약계층 위한 ‘연말 김장김치 나눔 행사’ 진행

KT&G가 취약계층 위한 ‘연말 김장김치 나눔 행사’ 를 열었다.

KT&G가 지난 22일 청년창업 전용 공간인 ‘KT&G 상상플래닛’이 위치한 서울시 성동구에서 ‘연말 김장김치 나눔 행사’를 열고 김장 봉사와 전달식을 가졌다.

이날 행사에는 이상학 KT&G 지속경영본부장과 정원오 성동구청장을 비롯해 KT&G 임직원, KT&G 상상플래닛 입주기업 직원 등 총 40여 명이 참여했다.

봉사자들이 직접 담근 김치 약 700포기(약 2,200kg)는 홀로 김장을 준비하기 어려운 성동구 내 저소득 노인 가구 등 총 300여 세대에 전달될 예정이다.

KT&G는 이번 나눔을 시작으로 겨울철 취약계층 지원 활동을 이어갈 계획이다. 이밖에도 월동용품 및 생계비 지원, 시설·주거 개선 활동 등 올겨울 지속적인 나눔을 실시한다.

KT&G 관계자는 “다가오는 동절기를 대비해 나눔 문화를 확산하고자 취약계층에게 김장김치를 전달하기로 했다”며, “앞으로도 지역사회 곳곳에 온정을 베풀고 따뜻한 사회를 만들기 위해 적극적인 지원 활동을 펼칠 것”이라고 말했다.
